To edit a story

Open the story
Tap the edit icon (pencil)
Make your changes to the title or text
Tap "Save"

What you can edit

Story title
Story text (the AI-generated narrative)
Collection assignment
Privacy settings

What you cannot edit

The original recording
The transcript
Creation date
Author

Important note

Editing a story doesn't re-run the AI generation. Your manual edits remain even if you regenerate the story later.

Best practices

Editing titles:

Keep titles descriptive
Help family members find stories
Use names, dates, or locations

Editing story text:

Fix any transcription errors
Add context the AI missed
Remove sensitive information
Keep your natural voice

Regenerating stories

If you want the AI to rewrite the story:

Open the story
Tap "Regenerate"
Choose your tone (standard or advanced on paid plans)
The AI creates a new version

Your manual edits will be replaced when you regenerate.
